Bash Scripting for Hugo

Mon, Jan 7, 2019 | Read in 1 minutes

I’ve written before about coding a bash script for Hugo to create filenames according to date.

Well, I’ve finally published it but–alas–it is now irrelevant.

Irrelevant because I learned that you can simply use Hugo’s Archetypes and slug parameters to define defaults for a new post. There are also Hugo Functions to sort and display posts according to date, title, etc.

A great use case for this script though would be to make sure that your posts are arranged chronologically on your local computer (which you can also just sort by date from the Finder/ Windows Explorer/ File Manager but whatever).

Without further ado…
