Some days you’re simply browsing, looking for inspiration to write about. Other days, it just comes naturally to you from the people you’re already subscribed from. Those are my kind of days.

I agree wholeheartedly. There is much to say about honesty and how it’s one of the most beautiful virtues. But I won’t get to that. Instead, I want to talk to you about looking for content inspiration in the context of honesty.
If what Ben Hardy says is true, then honesty (or the truth) must be the secret recipe for success. Despite seeing a lot of some people in sales who continuously compromise the truth either out of necessity or plain greed, I have to agree to the cliche that the best policy is still honesty. It may not always be about being honest to everyone else, but at the very least, you need to be honest to yourself.
With regards to searching for content, honesty means you know and adhere to the things you truly value. Not the things that people expect from you. Not the things people stereotype you with. Not the things that you think works best for everyone.
Honesty is knowing that whatever worked for everyone doesn’t necessarily have to work for you.
We have different paths to walk and stories to tell.
When looking out for content inspiration, you also need to look into yourself. Discover the things that matter to you. The trends might be reliable for now, but the trends don’t know what your biggest concerns are. They don’t have an idea how you’ve spent the past couple years of your work life.
The trends can’t define success for you—only you can, and some people out there… are hoping you will.
