If I could be someone for a day

“If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why? If that seems too easy, try this one: who would you like to have spend a day as you and what do you hope they’d learn from the experience?”

Excerpt From: The Editors, “365 Days of Writing Prompts.” iBooks.

If I could be someone for a day, I’d like to be Audrey Hepburn. Usually, I would answer questions like these with my typical, “I don’t want to be anybody else.” But I decided against being a killjoy today and thought of another person besides myself. 😂

So why Audrey Hepburn? Besides her gorgeous looks and sophistication? I’d say I like the way she talks. In her interviews, she always seems put together. And in her speeches, her manner of talking seems to almost be scripted.

I’m not saying Audrey Hepburn is being pretentious in any way. She does seem like the real thing.

I have to admit, I was first enchanted by her infamous movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. And since then, I’ve been subsequently watching her films. Her acting is fine; it’s her charisma that gets me through and through.

It also doesn’t hurt to know that she’s such an advocate for children’s welfare, especially in developing countries. Now, I’ve talked about children before and how I think their education should be a priority. Perhaps this is another mutual thing I have with the iconic beauty that is Audrey Hepburn. She speaks me to me as if I were born, present, and conscious during her era. Although there might be other ways in which we are wildly opposite, I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to be her even for just a day. It might even be something to write about. 😉
