Besides the about me page, the author of this blog would also like to add that, at 25, she has been successful in becoming one of the world’s greatest procrastinators. Big news. Splendid. Now let’s get back to normality…
This post was supposed to be for the August 2015 Blogging 101 assignment for Day One: Introduce Yourself to the World. But because of some ridiculously truthful news (see above), Day Ten is now the new Day One.
Ellie For The Road is for every person who ever thought that being an introvert equals being limited. Correction, we are limited edition! Introverts do limit much social contact but then their imagination can also be so extroverted that they eventually wind up being an extrovert when the moment calls for it.
Perhaps, however, in the subjective context of life and living, there is no wrong and right way… There’s only one way and it is exactly the same path you are walking through right now. Introvert or extrovert, we all have our ideals and biases and personalities and habits. We come from different backgrounds but walk through the same human race. Who is to say who is wrong and what is right?
Ellie For The Road is about action. The road is all about action: cars, pedestrians, tourists, locals, construction workers, street sweepers, lovers, stray cats. When you’re walking down the road, you’re always met with some kind of motion be it internal or external. Ellie For The Road is action towards change, changing from inaction to action. From watching life pass you by to actually taking the road towards activity and mistakes and learning.
Ellie For The Road is personal but only because everything we experience through life is personal. When we share our personal thoughts, we are also sharing a glimpse of our life, a part of our world not to differ or oppress or negate but to contribute and inspire and encourage. We are sharing our personal journeys in the hopes that we may be encouraged and that it might encourage.
Although this blog is mostly about the introverted, sarcastic, quirky girl named Ellie, she’s actually set out to finding more about herself and the world around her. Hopefully, she will meet new friends, be enlightened by wonderful cultures, and create interesting memories to share. If not, then working on a blog about it pretty much seems a good start! 😉
