Intimacy vs Loneliness

Tummy is a-rumblin’ and I’m not so sure why. It seems that the better part of my socially active self has seen a lack of energy tonight. I’m talking gibberish: I know and I don’t plan to stop just yet. I’m not drunk. I’m not crazy. I’m just bored.

I’m bored of getting drunk and crazy.

So I have turned to another outlet for boredom- which is inspiring people all over the universe to be happy for no damn reason. Just because! Why does there always need a reason to be happy anyway? I’m happy. Period. So deal with that.

Actually, I think we’re all happy people. We just don’t see it because we focus on unhappy things- for instance, that I am bored. I’m not really bored because there’s no other way to make this day fun. I’m bored because I refuse to find this day fun… but it IS! Just think of how, right now, you are breathing. Yep, breathing can be fun… because it means you’re alive and, therefore, you have the potential to make the most of this life by doing things that make you happy and that sets you free- for example, loving someone.

I’m not just saying this because I love someone right now. Generally, loving someone is a happy feeling. Some couples may think they have problems or things are complicated or commitment sucks because it hinders them from being free. But ask yourself if you love the person. If you answer “yes,” then there’s really no reason you can’t be happy. You can’t love and NOT be happy because that would not make sense. Loving another person besides yourself isn’t supposed to be this big dilemma you can’t seem to figure out. It’s not about the situation nor the people involved. You’re happy just because you love.

So, look in the mirror, at your messy hair and the probably awkward expression on your face, and tell yourself to Be Happy. Just because. 🙂
