The parts of you that you need to improve on are so important. It’s what paves the way for creativity and inspiration to take place because your weaknesses can determine how you adapt and, from there, create something beautiful.
Last week I recorded a vlog for my Weekly Ideas newsletter about wondering what to do next. What do I even talk about? It feels like I’ve said what I wanted to say and repeating things will just be overkill.
But the truth is: repeating your message over and over again especially online is NOT overkill.
In fact, it is the best way to get your message to as many people as possible, not just the niche that you have in mind.
I think the better question is, Why not?
For so long I’ve been holding myself back by discouraging people to view my vlogs, subscribe to my newsletter, or follow me on all my other platforms because, in my head, I was honestly judging them one by one, which ones I think can resonate with me and which ones I think don’t.
But that was a terrible move because I am not in the right place to judge and know what people actually want unless it is already presented to them. If they like it and want it, they will follow your work. If they don’t, they will move on. In any case, you are still continuously putting content out there for those who need to hear it. You will still be able to attract your crowd and repel others.
So what I’m trying to get at is that it is okay to want to be seen. It is okay to play a BIGGER game with your platform. You are in charge.
Repeating your message on the Internet is one of the best ways to market and establish yourself because not everyone will get to see your post and posting it again will allow others to discover you and your message at different stages of their life as well.
So I started my vlog wondering what to do next and what to say and then went on to talk about appreciating the art of just spontaneously showing up to your work, you know? It’s much more fun and exciting not knowing what you’re gonna talk about sometimes. It allows you to explore and create and tell stories you couldn’t have done if everything were so planned. 🙂
